i am SO excited to introduce you all to jade + coco’s shiny new look!
(shown above :: logo and primary color palette)
tisha from jade and coco — a fab jewelry boutique — was looking for something simple, modern + clean with a touch of girly.
we explored several options (which i will share too!) and found something just right for jade and coco.
the result :: a simple typographic solution that never goes out of style. this modern take on a monogram captures the essence of jade + coco with an uber sleek and simple feel with a tiny touch of girly in the purple accent color. totally modern. definitely fashionable.
this is just the beginning, folks. i am also creating a fun new pattern as well as a complete look book with brand style guidelines which tisha can use to update her other branded elements too! stay tuned for more!

one of the most fun parts of the initial branding process is taking the time to really look at yourself and the spaces you have created. your home. your studio. even your closet. all of these have been built by you. and, you probably didn’t realize it but, just by decorating your space and filling your closet with those must-have items, you have always been developing your personal brand. the items you wear or or the accessories you display, they all speak to what makes you, you.
that all translates to your business and personal brand. all the fun visual stuff that makes up your “look”. as you look around your house or studio, write down words that describe what you see…write down the colors, shapes and textures that you are so obviously drawn to. are they bold and graphic with clean lines? or subdued with amazing details? a mix of both? do you see a color story right there in your laundry?
i recently posted this on my stationery blog for all of the tuesdayshoesday and thursdaypurseday fashionistas out there, encouraging them to draw inspiration from their weekly picks…consider this an extension of that :) and take a look around you.

this was a fun one! this project involved both exploring potential names and looks for a new stationery company. the parameters were pretty much wide open so the possibilities were endless. here are just a few of the resulting explorations.

branding is everywhere…and weddings are no exception. creating your very own wedding identity can really pull a look together. think of it as an event logo. events have logos, and a wedding is certainly an event!
here is an example of a wedding logo…i just love how whimsical and sweet this one is with the fun fonts and pink and blue cotton candy colors!
